We have actively participated in Trade Defense proceedings in Brazil since the opening of imports in the 1990s, acting in several anti-dumping, subsidy and safeguard investigations. Our work involves:
Domestic industry: advice on the feasibility of anti-dumping, subsidy or safeguard investigations; preparation of petitions to open investigations; assistance and representation in responding to questionnaires from the Undersecretariat for Commercial Defense and Public Interest (SDCOM), of the Ministry of Economy, and monitoring of the process until the deliberation on the application of anti-dumping measures; representation before the Camex Ministries.
Exporters: assistance and representation in preparing responses to SDCOM questionnaires and presenting defense arguments during investigations; representation before Camex Ministries.
Importers and other interested parties: advice and representation in responding to SDCOM questionnaires and in defense during investigations; representation before Camex Ministries.
Public interest: representation in public interest assessments conducted by SDCOM and Camex, with responses to questionnaires, participation in hearings and deliberation on the suspension of anti-dumping measures.
